I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Computer Science at The University of Western Australia in the 1990s.
In the first half of my career, I focused on technology, engaging in research and teaching in Artificial Intelligence, Internet protocols and programming, and Bioinformatics. In the second half, I transitioned to health and community services, being a business owner-operator in aged and disability care services, as well as a mental health instructor.

As for what kind of person I am...
I am someone who takes the scenic route to destinations.
I am a thinker and a daydreamer.
I am a friend who will sit with you over a cup of coffee and chat for hours.
I enjoy my time active and outdoors, from bushwalking to inline skating. In my life, I have been a scuba diver, a hang-gliding pilot and a competitive ice dancer.
I am an avid cook who doesn’t make very good dishes but have a blast every time I go into the kitchen. I have not ever burnt down my kitchen... not yet.

Why I Started this Project?
I have met a diverse set of people in my life and career. Almost universally, I found that people are joyful when they are learning, and people learn best when they are joyful.
I started this project to promote the joy of learning among adolescents. I am working towards building a positive world, to nurture communities of engaged learners for the sake of my children and for young people everywhere.
This project targets the critical transition period of adolescence. The challenge in this period is how to preserve the natural joy of childhood while growing into the serious world of adulthood.
In this project, I work with a group of like-minded people to share the secrets to learning with joy. We build a community made up of people from all walks of life and different professional disciplines.
